Anything I want?

1. A dream that I would love to fulfill over the next five years is to actually get through college so I do not have to make my parents stress about paying for school with the risk of me getting kicked out because of all the stupid things that I do.

2. A larger life dream that I would love to have is to possibly win the lottery so I can fulfill my parent's dreams of what they want, AKA my dad wanting an Audi R8, the car of his dreams, and my mom wanting to hop the world record for having the biggest closet in the world so she can put the infinite amount of clothes she has.

3. When a dream that I have has failed or has been deferred, I feel sad, but I know that life has to go on so I try to put it in the past and forget about it, but if it is a mistake learning from then I move on with a dream that is changed and edited by the previous one.

4. The character I was most like is Travis because I was that spoiled kid. I live in New York so I know what spoiled felt like. However I was not a street kid since I was the child that would stay inside whenever he could to play video games instead, something that he did not have.

5. If I lived in this family, I would not feel how I would feel now because I know that I am a lot more privileged than every single one of them. Money is something they are thriving on, but it is something that I do not have to worry about (at the moment.)

Poem Short Analyses

The Red Wheelbarrow By William Carlos Williams Even though there are only eight lines in the whole poem, it still conveys a big message. The wheelbarrow in the poem is a symbol for many things that happen in our everyday lives. The wheelbarrow does not have that many actions and is not used for many things, but it is crucial for the farmer to do what he needs to do. The poem itself does not have that much else to it, only four stanzas, not much of a tone, no rhyme scheme, but it still has a message. Mother to Son By Langston Hughes The main message of this poem is to show how hard it is to be a mother. The verbs used are showing what a mother has to go through everyday. The staircase is a symbol to show how it's hard for the mother to walk up and down, or how to support her child with the obstacles that stand in her way.
