Setting
The setting takes place on a staircase in the middle of nowhere. The entire background is blue including the sky, the staircase, and the water which perfectly reflects everything. There are two big fluffy white clouds in the sky and a man dressed in all black on the staircase. The man is wearing a tall top hat, a cane, a black coat, black pants, and black shoes. He is on the staircase and at the top of the staircase is a black door which is also reflected by the water. The air is chilly and the is a small breeze. Everything smells sterile and unnatural as if something is off and it is so quiet you could hear a pin drop. The only noise being made is the clicking of the man’s shoes transcending the stairs.
Plot
The man in black lived on an island all by himself, he never felt lonely and was happy living on the island. You may wonder why he never felt lonely and that is because he had a friend. His friend lived in the water. His friend in the water was very similar to him in many ways. Whenever the man in black looked into the water his friend was always there looking back at him. At the top of the island, there was a pitch-black door and the man in black was too afraid to go through it because he knew his friend couldn’t follow him, but he didn’t mind not knowing what was through the door because his friend always kept him company. Every day the man in black would sit by the edge of the island and talk to his friend in the water for hours. He would lie on his back looking up at the sky and talk about anything that was going on in his mind to his friend. He always knew he was there because when he peered into the water his friend was always peering back at him. One day the man in black woke up and felt that something was off. The first thing he thought to do was to check on his friend but when he peered into the water he was gone. He was frantic and worried and didn’t know what to do. He spent hours calling out to him but after a while, he realized that he was gone. He didn’t know what to do, without him he was all alone. That was when he decided to look for his friend through the mysterious door because that’s the only place where he didn’t look. He was very scared, but he was determined to find his friend, and that’s when he started to climb up the stairs and go through the door to find his friend.

The last part, the main focus of the picture in my opinion, is a man on the staircase wearing a tall top hat, a cane, a coat, pants, and shoes, all of the color black. At the top of the staircase which he is on, there is an open door which leads into darkness. The air is smooth and there is a chill breeze, since it is among the water. Everything smells sterile and unnatural as if something is off and it is so quiet you could hear a pin plop in the water causing a disruption. The only noise being made is the clicking of the man’s shoes and cane transcending the stairs.
Plot
A man in black lived on a staircase-like island all by himself. Surprisingly, he was happy with where he was because he never felt lonely. You may wonder why he never felt lonely. That is because he had a friend. His friend lived in the water. His friend in the water was very similar to him in many ways. Whenever the man in black looked into the water, his friend was always there looking back to him. The only thing the man did not like about his staircase-like island was the pitch-black open door at the top. He was too afraid to walk through the door because he knew his friend couldn’t follow him. However, he did not mind not knowing what was through the door because his friend always kept him company. He would lie on his back looking up at the sky and talk about anything that was going on in his mind to his friend. He always knew he was there because when he peered into the water his friend was always peering back at him.
One day, the man in black woke up and felt that something was not right. His first instinct was to go see if his friend was OK, but when he peered into the water, he was gone. He started to get all frantic and worried because he did not know what to do. He spent hours calling out to him but after a while, but in the end, he realized that he was gone and there was no hope in calling out for him any longer. The man didn’t know what to do. Without his friend, he was all alone. The only other option to find his friend was the intimidating door at the top of the island. Because he did not want to lose his friend he knew that he had no other choice and it was the only other place on the island where he did not look. With all the setbacks in his mind, he was determined to find his friend no matter the cost. He climbed up the staircase and faced the door knowing that there was a chance he would not be able to come back. He lifted his cane and took his first step into what would be the greatest adventure of his life.
